Extinction Hypothesis 5: Continental Drift Theory

According to geological research, in the age of Dinosaurs, there was only one continental plate on the earth at that time, namely the Panga. Later, due to changes in the crust, the Panga formed the current six major plates through splitting and drifting. Changes in climate and environment have led to the extinction of dinosaurs.

The process of continental drift is a very slow process. The Panga began to split in the Triassic, and did not split to form the current six plates until the late Cretaceous. During this period, dinosaurs have always ruled the earth and have been on the continents. In the case of drifting, the dinosaurs were intact from the Triassic to the Cretaceous, but collectively perished in a short period of time in the late Cretaceous. The theory of continental drift obviously lacks strong evidence.

Extinction Hypothesis 6: Species Struggle

In the late Cretaceous, the first small mammals appeared. These animals belonged to rodent Carnivores and might feed on dinosaur eggs. This kind of small animal lacks natural enemies, more and more, ate all the dinosaur eggs and eventually led to the extinction of dinosaurs.

This statement is very reasonable. After all, we know enough about how terrifying mammals are. However, most races will take care of their offspring until they can act independently before letting go. It is impossible to allow rodents to eat their own eggs. Regardless.

Dinosaurs

Extinction Hypothesis Seven: Plant Poisoning

At the end of the dinosaur age, gymnosperms on the earth gradually disappeared, replaced by a large number of angiosperms. These plants contained toxins that were not found in gymnosperms. The huge dinosaurs had a huge appetite. Ingestion of angiosperms caused excessive accumulation of toxins in the body. Finally was poisoned to death. Carnivores are also poisoned to death after eating poisonous meat.

We have a big question as to why other herbivores are not extinct. Still survived strong.

Extinction Hypothesis 8: Orogenic Movement Theory

Frequent orogeny at the end of the Cretaceous period dried up the marshes, and many dinosaurs who used the marshes as their home could not continue to live. Because of climate change, plants have also changed, and Herbivorous Dinosaurs can no longer adapt to new plants and have become extinct. The extinction of the herbivorous dinosaurs also made the carnivorous dinosaurs no basis for survival, and as a result they also became extinct. This extinction process lasted from ten to twenty million years. At the end of the Cretaceous period, it eventually became extinct on the earth.
